As part of our fundraising events we will be attending the Cherry Hinton Festival. This is a community event which is to be held on Saturday 19th September.
We are asking for donations of unwanted soft toys to run a teddy tombola stall. Any donations will be gratefully received before Tuesday 15th September 2015.
On Wednesday 15th July Little Cherries received an Ofsted inspection. As our previous inspection was in 2010 we expected this to take place at some point, however we receive no prior notification of the inspector’s arrival.
We are incredibly pleased to announce that Little Cherries has been awarded with an Outstanding level throughout all areas. This is the highest possible achievement a setting can receive from Ofsted.
The inspector was highly impressed with the staff and how they engage and interact with the children, providing a high level of early years education for your children. All areas of the education, safeguarding, the staff’s knowledge and experience were demonstrated and highly commended.
The Committee would like to thank all staff at Little Cherries for their hard work and dedication to the group. It has been rewarded by an incredible achievement. The report is attached for you all to read.
Congratulations- Little Cherries your OUTSTANDING pre-school!
As you are aware, Little Cherries is a committee run pre-school. This means parents, like you, help Little Cherries to run efficiently by volunteering their time, ideas and opinions at the committee meetings. We’re always looking for new members so why not come along to one of our meetings and see what goes on behind the scenes. If you would like specific information about how to get involved with our committee, please contact the chairperson, Elaine Sweeney, or manager, Anita Yates. Alternatively, you might like to talk to another parent who is already involved with the committee. We’re a friendly bunch and are always eager to hear new ideas from interested parents. Remember, this is YOUR pre-school and it has always been the high levels of parental involvement that has helped to make it so special.
